Privacy

This site collects nothing about you. No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no third parties. Here is exactly what happens when you visit.

What this site collects

Nothing. There is no sign-up, no login, no form, no comment box, no newsletter and no shop here. There is nothing to submit, so there is nothing to collect.

Drawing a card, filtering by locution and switching between light and dark all happen in your own browser. None of it is sent anywhere. We do not know which cards you drew, and we could not find out.

No cookies, no analytics, no third parties

This site sets no cookies at all. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising, no fingerprinting and no session recording.

Nothing on the page is fetched from anyone else. The card images, the PDFs, the stylesheet, the scripts and the typeface are all served from this site. That last one is deliberate: a page that pulls its font from a third party tells that third party who is reading a page about Autistic identity, and this page does not.

The site’s own Content-Security-Policy is default-src 'none' — the browser is instructed to refuse to load anything from anywhere but here, so a third-party request cannot be added by accident.

The one thing stored on your device

If you use the light/dark toggle in the bar at the top, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it contains nothing but the word light or dark.

If you never touch the toggle, nothing is stored at all. By default the site simply follows whatever your device already asks for. You can clear the stored choice any time by clearing site data for this site in your browser.

Our host’s server logs

This site is hosted on Netlify, which serves the pages and, like any web server, records the requests it handles — your IP address, the time, the page or file requested, and the browser’s user-agent string. That is standard server operation: it is how the site gets delivered to you and how it is protected from abuse.

We do not use those logs for analytics, we do not build profiles from them, and we do not combine them with anything else. Netlify’s handling of them is covered by Netlify’s privacy policy.

Links to other sites

This site links out — to Helen’s writing and shop at Autistic Realms, to Stimpunks, and to the sources cited on the about page. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy policy, not this one. The Autistic Realms shop in particular is a separate service that handles its own orders and payments.

The printable deck and the Plain Language and Easy Read guides are served from this site, so downloading them does not hand you off to anyone.

Children

The game is used by families, schools and clinics, and nothing about this site changes with the age of the reader, because nothing about the reader is collected in the first place.

Your rights, and how to ask

Data protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you — to see it, correct it, have it erased, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We hold none, so there is nothing to show you or delete. The server logs described above sit with our host.

If you have a question about any of this, or think something on this page is wrong, please get in touch through Autistic Realms or Stimpunks.

Changes to this notice

If this site ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before it does, and the change will be recorded in the changelog like every other change to the site.
